Amsterdam's canal bridges

We spent yesterday in Amsterdam and took a canal boat tour. The bridges were lovely, and the houseboats were fascinating. There are over 2,000 houseboats with addresses, running water and power. I loved their little gardens, which were tiny platforms on the boat filled with potted plants. We walked for hours, and were a little disappointed to miss the Anne Frank house tour, as we were unwilling to stand in line for an hour. We should have pre-purchased tickets online in advance.
